Updated - 8th December 2020

Apologies for the delay in updating the website regarding our ability to provide you with facilities to enjoy your sports.
Following the latest move to Tier 2, the committee has reviewed what we are able to provide and have agreed the following approach which we hope to review and amend in line with lifting of restrictions as and when that is possible.  Toilets and changing rooms will be open each day during training sessions and matches.

Tier 2 rules mean that indoor socialising is not allowed other than in household bubbles and this, combined with the need to serve a substantial meal with any alcoholic drinks, means that it is not currently viable for us to re-open the clubhouse bar.  We will review the situation as restrictions change and aim to get back to normal service as soon as we are allowed.

Refreshments will, however, be available at weekends from the Snack Shack.

Snack Shack Opening hours

Sunday 08:30 - 12:00

All funds raised support improvement of sports facilities at  BCSC - THANK YOU

Please check with your relevant sports sections regarding return to play.  At the time of writing, Hockey, Adult Football, Junior Football, Tennis and Squash can be played in line with the guidelines from the relevant sporting organisations.

Unfortunately we also need to let you know that our chef, Sergei, is leaving us.  We would like to thank him for his support over the last two and a half years and wish him every success in his new role.

Please remember to wear a mask when visiting the toilets and changing rooms.

Arrival at BCSC

As car sharing is still not advised, please be aware that the number of cars wishing to park at BCSC will be at unprecedented levels.

We urge all members, guests and visiting sports teams to do everything possible to minimise the number of cars on site, particularly at peak times on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Where possible, please walk or cycle to the club.

Above all, please look after each other and wear a mask when leaving and returning to your vehicle.

Parking & Drop Off

We have also introduced a drop off area for peak times.  Again, where possible please arrange for a member of your household or bubble to drop off players rather than take up valuable parking needed for the away teams.  For child drop off, ensure that you follow all safeguarding requirements as advised by your relevant sports club.  If you are uncertain about this, contact the safeguarding officer of your club.

Please also familiarise yourself with the layout below and follow the one way flow.

Arrows will not be marked on the road.

NHS Test & Trace
All sports clubs have been asked to promote the use of this app as the preferred method to ensure we comply with test and trace requirements.  To use this app you will need to visit the Apple app Store or Google Play on your mobile device, search for NHS COVID-19 and download the app.  Set up is quick and easy and the process of checking in on arrival at the club is fast (no data entry required - just scan the official NHS app QR code).
You will see the poster below in several locations around the club and car park.  Open the app on your mobile device and scan the QR code EVERY TIME you come to the club.

NHS Test and Trace App QR Code for BCSC.

If for any reason you do not want to use the NHS app then you are now required by law to complete the BCSC Test and Trace form.  If you choose this option then your data is securely held by BCSC on an encrypted server using the WIX web service platform.  Your data is deleted after 21 days.

The tennis courts are open and available for members.

The squash courts are open and available for paid up members.  You will also need to be a member of a squash bubble (up to 6 players)  Contact Ian Gordon on 07917 738578 if you have any questions or are having difficulty making a booking.
